When R U Free Explained

Q: What is the point of this website?
A: The purpose of When R U Free is to help people figure out when a group of friends is available to get together for some event.

Q: What kind of events can this be used for?
A: You could use it for all sorts of events like happy hours, book clubs, poker nights, parties, play dates, etc. Of course you can use it for business too.

Q: Why did you create it?
A: The genesis of the site came from trying to get a group of my friends together for our "regular" poker night. We could never agree on a standard night (e.g. The second Thursday of every other month) because something always came up, and none of the guys wanted to book a night a month in advance without checking with their wives first.

Q: Why did you make it available to everyone?
A: The way I figure it, the more people that I know who are setting up events, the better chances I'll have of getting invited to them.

Q: Is it really free?
A: Sure. If after you've set up an event or two you find this site has been really helpful, then a small donation would be greatly appreciated.

Q: What is your definition of "small donation"?
A: Amazon allows you to donate as little as $1.00 but how about this for a rule of thumb: A quarter for every event scheduled.

Q: Where does the money go?
A: Any money collected goes towards web hosting fees. Anything left over goes towards my kids' college educations. At the current rate, they should have bright futures as greeters at Wal-Mart.
